Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Those activities give them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.

Special Olympics Montenegro organized its European Football Week 2014 events around the promotion of Unified Sports and female football with a total of 90 players.
Special Olympics International and The Department of State selected 10 Fellows from Serbia, Montenegro, and the U.S. to participate in the Special Olympics Coaching Fellowship from May 9th to May 17th in Montenegro.
