More than 2,000 people –athletes, volunteers, staff and sponsors— attended the Mirador Sur Park to compete, support and share an unforgettable day with the whole family in the Race to benefit Special Olympics Dominican Republic.
Event due to poor sea conditions, this wonderful event had an excellent organization and made our special athletes in the Sprint Duathlon finish the distance very well and within their means of demonstrating good level of skills developed in training.
Physical Therapy career students at the Catholic University Santo Domingo (UCSD) participated in a training session with Special Olympics Dominican Republic athletes, where in an atmosphere of integration, shared familiarity in a morning full of sports.
