Sometimes I feel #weak. I feel like I’m putting on a mask of civility and class – of social normativity. In my head I am thinking “what do I do?”, “how do I act?”, “what should I say next?”. Like the Artful Dodger, I compose myself to fit into social norms.
But in reality, I am confused and often feel alone. I feel as though many people don’t understand me – the real me.
When I do meet a few people whom I can open up to, I feel a surge of connection. This is why this campaign is so important to me. Everyone can feel this, if they are given the right opportunity to connect and feel part of a team; a valued member of a group.
Though we may be in different locations, we can connect as humans, seeking meaning and purpose through socialization.
