Join us in welcoming nationally acclaimed keynote speaker Dr. David Winters, PhD, and author of Dr. Dave's AT Lab. Dr. Winters is a Professor and Department Head for the Special Education Department at Eastern Michigan University. In addition to Dr. Winters there will be speakers from the Lawrence School in Ohio, Churchill School in St. Louis, University of Kansas, Cradle-to-Career Literacy Center and more national and local speakers. Break out sessions will include Dyslexia 101, Demystifying Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Multi-Sensory Math, Assessing for Dyslexia, Classroom strategies for Reading & Writing, Syllabication, and Dyslexia and the IEP.

Experience what it is like for a student with a learning disability in a classroom setting. Horizon Academy will provide a Learning Disability simulation. Participation spots are limited to 50 for an effective simulation experience, however, everyone is welcome to attend to observe and participate in the Q&A following. Please join us for networking, conversation, demystification and awareness.
