We welcome all students and graduates who have a qualification of NFQ Level 6 and upwards with all different disabilities, specific learning difficulties and mental health. Students and graduates with disabilities will have the opportunity to polish their job seeking skills and get important tips and advice on successfully adjusting to the world of work and building a fulfilling career.
A mock interview is a like a real job interview; it is used to practice your interview skills. The interview resembles a real interview as closely as possible and you will be asked questions in the mock interview like you would expect to get in a real job interview. It provides you with the knowledge of what to expect in an interview but also help you to improve on your skills by providing you with individual feedback.
At the CV clinics an employer will have a look at your CV, give you feedback on the layout, the formatting, whether you can structure your CV better to make it more attractive. They will also give you honest and relevant feedback on the content of your CV and will be able to offer you advice as to how to word the content better.
If you're interested in talking to an employer about what opportunities they have within their company and what their organisation is like to work for, you would benefit from attending our drop in sessions. They are hosted by a range of public and private employers.
At the end of each day (16:15-17:00) AHEAD will be hosting a workshop in crucial elements of having a successful job-search. Topics for the workshops include: Panel Discussion on Virtual Onboarding, Disclosure in the Workplace and An Introduction to Graduate Programmes.
