ABSTRACT / RÉSUMÉ

Applied Community Based Participatory Research with a Phenomenological approach was used to create unique indigenized learning and training tools for professional and community use. In this conference we will present the awareness and training tools that we have organized into an interactive website. The goal of these tools is to share an emerging Indigenized understanding of disability and to promote social and professional inclusion of Indigenous people with disabilities in First Nations across Quebec.

La recherche participative communautaire et la méthode phénoménologique ont servi à créer des outils autochtones uniques d'apprentissage et de formation à usage professionnel et communautaire. Dans cette conférence, nous présenterons les outils de sensibilisation et de formation destinés à être intégrés dans un site web interactif. L'objectif de ces outils est de partager de nouvelles connaissances sur l’expérience vécue du handicap dans les communautés des Premières Nations du Québec et de promouvoir l'inclusion sociale et professionnelle des personnes autochtones en situation de handicap.
