Monday/Day 1: Welcome to the first day of camp! We will be starting the day with fun ways to get to know one another. After this we will have our friends from Youth Discovery help us learn more about our personalities and our passions.
Tuesday/Day 2: Our main activity will be our cooking event. We are busing from TVCC to the grocery store to buy our ingredients, this will teach us how to budget, buy the correct amount of food for a group, and take the bus. From there we will be taking the bus to our cooking location. We will be finshing the day with talking and learning about finances.
Wednesday/Day 3: We will be learning about how to be in a healthy relationship. We will discuss what does/ doesn't make a healthy relationship, which includes bullying and friendship. We also will be talking about being on the internet and what is safe when being on websites. In addition we will have activities around self esteem and personal well being. Karate with Heroes Circle will be part of this session.
Thursday/Day 4: This day focusses on everything our Reality 101 series offered over the school year. We will focus on post secondary school options, employment, volunteering, housing and much more. Different community partners will showcase their program and what they offer. We will have a panel of college and university students speaking about their experiences and answering any questions participants may have.
Friday/Day 5: On the final day we will be putting our new skills to use, followed by some fun! We will be meeting at TVCC in the morning to learn about plans for the day and helpful tips to make the day a success. We will have lunch at a restaurant and then go bowling at Fleetway. Youth need to be picked up at Fleetway
