The Stop Look Care Project aims to improve the person’s experience of the care they receive by increasing staff confidence in identifying the signs of deterioration in health and wellbeing and take the appropriate course of action to manage it quickly. This session focuses on the particular needs of those with learning disabilities across all community settings. Evidence shows that people with learning disabilities die younger and that not identifying deterioration is a factor in that. Using the Stop Look Care booklet in your care will bring benefits to those you support and provide clear evidence to escalate the need of someone you know well to someone who may not.
