Join us for a brief introduction to S.P.I.R.E. a structured literacy reading intervention program that opens up a world of boundless gains!
About this Event
Structured Literacy is explicit, systematic teaching that focuses on phonological awareness, word recognition, phonics and decoding, spelling, and syntax at the sentence and paragraph levels. (Iowa Reading Research Center, 2019).
During this webinar the presenter will highlight what constitutes structured literacy and how using this evidence-based approach helps students of all abilities close literacy gaps—no matter what grade level learning takes place. SPIRE reading program is based on the approach, and it is highly respected among classroom educators and students, especially struggling readers, who find comfort from the regularity of each lesson and knowing each new concept will be covered thoroughly. S.P.I.R.E. is designed specifically for struggling readers, dyslexic students, and at-risk learners to build reading success through an intensive, structured, and spiraling curriculum all with the teacher at the center of instruction.
Discover how SPIRE’s simple multisensory strategies for teaching reading skills, including decoding, encoding, vocabulary, spelling, and reading comprehension can be used in-person, online, and in blended environments with results.
Listen in on a zoom with other special education directors and leaders. There will be a Q&A at the end of the webinar. Grab your favorite beverage, find a relaxing corner, and join us!
