The National Collaboration for Youth Mental Health offers a safe, supportive and creative space for students, parents and volunteers to meet Mondays to Saturdays to talk about mental health, obtain referrals, support and to find their purpose. Students are grouped into ages with each age having their own group. Parents can participate or wait in the parents area or participate in creative programs with their children or teenagers. Students have been creating youth mental health summits, information nights and Let's Talk Positive Youth Mental Nights since 2002 with the guidance, support and encouragement of our staff and screened volunteers since 2002.
THE LET's TALK YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE was launched without any media invites on May 16, 2019 at two locations - the first location had 162 students attend! We are pleased to announce two new dates: September 25, 2019 and February 13, 2020 in Ottawa to meet the demand and need. We support students in finding their diverse voices, expressing their feelings, finding their gifts and feeling and channeling their energies into positive projects that represent them, engage them and validate them! The Youth Mental Health presentations are delivered by diverse mental health professionals whose presentations have been vetted and pre-approved by our staff of educators and Board of psychologists and the school boards we serve. Our speakers and performers are diverse, youthful and authentic and connect with and engage with our diverse student population!
No one is left behind. Everyone is included, engaged and celebrated at the National Collaboration for Youth Mental Health's Let's talk Positive Youth Mental Health Conferences!
