AEBC Mentoring Project for People with Disabilities

The Alliance for Equality for Blind Canadians is launching a project the Inclusive Employment Advocacy Project to equip job-seekers with disabilities to better self-advocate for equal access to employment services and programs.

They are recruiting 12 mentor-mentee pairs with diverse disabilities from different population groups to approach employment service providers to access appropriate services. We will also expand our resources and tools to be used by job-seekers with disabilities.

As a participant in the project, you will receive resource materials to improve your self-advocacy skills, and peer support to advance your communication and soft skills.

You will receive an honorarium for your participation.

To learn more about this opportunity and sign up to be a mentor or a mentee, contact our Project Coordinator, Laura Moll, at (416) 419-9253 or [email protected].
