How can you ensure that your child develops “real world” skills that prepare them for the world of work? During this session, families will learn about the work-based learning experiences that are available through the Special Education Office and identify the requirements for participation. They will learn about the Training Opportunities Program (TOP) and the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and receive information that will prepare them for the application process. Additionally, families will have an opportunity to explore strategies for disability disclosure and advocating for reasonable workplace accommodations.
