Join us for Yakima's third annual International Overdose Awareness Day August 28th at Franklin Park 410 S 19th Ave Yakima from 3:00 p.m. to dusk. There will be guest speakers, food, informational booths, memorial wall, and a symbolic representation of how many in our community have lost their lives from overdose. Overdose Awareness Day has been a key remembrance event or those who have died from fatal drug overdose since 2001. It's an opportunity to help the community understand that drug overdose is a social issue and no-one is immune to drug harm. Thank you for helping us to continue raising awareness in our community. A silver badge signifying the loss of someone to drug misadventure is the symbol for the day. We invite you to wear the badge to show your sympathy with the aims of International Overdose Awareness Day 2019 with its prevention and remembrance theme.
