Presented by Northwell Health's N-Able BERG and Zucker Hillside Hospital
In this presentation, we will review the evolution of the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The spectrum and its core features will be described, with an emphasis on the overlap and distinction between syndromal features and mental health symptoms.
We will discuss clinician preconceptions about treating mental health conditions as they co-occur with ASD.
Finally, we will review evidence and methods for making modifications to existing treatments that any clinician can make in order to work more effectively with people with ASD.
Registered participants will receive an email with the connection link in advance of the presentation.
