The impact of Covid-19 on people with disabilities has somewhat been overlooked due to the pandemic. In order to be inclusive and have a diverse workforce it is crucial to create open communication, foster and nourish talent and remove the barriers which prevent your employees from reaching their goals.
With hybrid working becoming the new normal, it is important that best practises are in place to support people getting back to work with disabilities whether that is at home or in the office. Reasonable adjustments must be made to allow them to work in an accessible workplace which allows them to unlock their full potential without being discriminated against. It is vital managers realise not all disabilities are visible, and it is critical to have conversations about disabilities to ensure the appropriate workplace adjustments and support are in place.
