Maine’s Connecting with Opportunities Initiative provides financial support and one-on-one career guidance to unemployed individuals impacted by the opioid crisis: personally or as an “affected other” (friend/family). It can open the door to many occupational fields. It also provides support to non-impacted, unemployed workers who would like to go into occupational fields related to recovery/substance use disorder.
