Hockey is often called Canada’s game. We are loyal and most often, diehard fans to our team, whatever team that is. At playoff time, no one in a hockey city, is immune to the excitement and anticipation of an exciting elimination series. Many children play on community based teams and they dream of the possibility of playing in the NHL someday. For one group of youth however, they know that will never be a reality and is not even a dream they can imagine as they skate down the ice with their own peewee, midget or junior team. Children and young adults who live with mental or physical challenges, are never given that moment to dream…until now.
