Shedding Light on Mental Health is a mental health conference brought in partnership by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Greater Wheeling and West Liberty University.

NAMI Greater Wheeling, WV is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grassroots mental health organization in the country. NAMI Greater Wheeling improves the quality of life for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families through community outreach, public education, advocacy, and support.

West Liberty University is a forward-looking, four-year public university steeped in a rich heritage as West Virginia’s oldest institution of higher education. Established as West Liberty Academy in 1837 (26 years before the state was admitted to the Union), it was created to respond to the need for higher educational opportunities west of the Appalachian ridge. West Liberty University provides our students the opportunity for a high quality undergraduate, graduate, and professional education through appropriate formats and venues.

Our 4th annual Shedding Light on Mental Health Conference will be a virtual to support the health and wellness of our attendees and presenters during the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual conference will occur over 4 days for 2-3 hours each day. You can register to attend all 4 sessions or individual sessions.
