Self-Care Skills for Children with Autism

Self-care skills are one of the first ways a child develops how to plan and sequence task performance, develop fine and gross motor skills, and organize materials. Self-care skills act a precursor to many life skills and creates independence.

The Behaviour Company is proud to offer this 1-hour FREE webinar for parents of children with Autism. In this workshop, parents will be provided with the tools to set up programs on teaching their children Activities of Daily Living.

Objectives

  1. Identify the appropriate self-care / activities of daily living that are to teach your child
  2. Brief assessment method parents can use at home to set up an effective program
  3. Evidence-based teaching methods to help children with Autism learn self-care skills

Zainab Fazal is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with over 20 years of experience. She is the Owner and Clinical Director at The Behaviour Company and an adjunct Professor at Seneca College.

Holly Clarke is a Senior Therapist at The Behaviour Company and has over five years of experience working with children with Autism. Holly is pursuing her Master's degree and her Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Certification.
