The goal of reachAbility's Speed Meetings is to create an opportunity for hiring employers to meet job seekers in an inclusive and comfortable space. Through this meeting, job seekers from the general public are provided with the opportunity to have interview practice with currently hiring employers. Additionally, the employers get the opportunity to pre-screen candidates without the obligation of saying yes or no.

The only requirement for employers is to join us for one (or two or three) hour and a half long sessions providing 5-minute interviews to job seekers. At the end of each interview, the employer fills out a small feedback sheet with constructive advice for the job seekers which we review with them at a later date.

The exciting thing about Speed Meeting is that we have unintentionally garnered about a 50% employment rate from these events! When you combine hiring employers with eligible and qualified candidates a "right person, right job" is bound to happen! Now that's a win, win, win!

We are really excited to be able to offer this opportunity for 45 job seekers to meet with up to 15 employers. We currently have three sessions on Tuesday, July 23rd at the Prince George Hotel in The Windsor Room:

9:00 am - 10:30 am - Group A

10:45 am - 12:15 pm - Group B

12:45 pm to 2:15 pm - Group C

All events include a delicious catered spread from The Prince George Hotel and are free services for both job seekers and employers.

We hope to see you on July 23rd to learn directly from job seekers and employers about why this event is such a hit!
