DET Nominee training is designed for those who already have a current working knowledge of the Program for Students with Disabilities. DET Nominee training must be updated every two years. Content of the session will include a review of the requirements for PSD applications ensuring the best possible outcomes, and reflection on a range of inclusion resources and policies used to mentor and support those personnel who may be newer to the PSD within your network.
Please note that DET Nominee Training is for senior DET school based staff (Principals, Assistant Principals and Leading Teachers or Wellbeing staff) who act as critical friends to neighbouring schools in the PSD application process. It is recommended where possible that each school has a trained nominee to share responsibility within the network. All Nominees must have completed the Initial Training at least once in the past.
