The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. We have a membership of 28,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services. The Tetra Society of North America is a non-profit organization, founded in 1987 in Vancouver, BC that recruits skilled volunteers to create customized assistive devices for people with physical disabilities.
Through individualized personal counselling, outpatient psychiatric services and a wide range of group counselling, professional staff and faculty at the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre, with the assistance of supervised doctoral residents and practicum students from the various training programs on campus, help students to develop their own unique resources.
The Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador incorporated as a not for profit in 2001 and acts as the provincial voice for individuals with learning disabilities and those who support them.
