ROCK Reach Out Centre for Kids was designated by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services (MCYS) as the child and youth mental health Lead Agency for Halton in August 2014. With programs and services that run out of 11 sites and three main offices, ROCK is committed to being inclusive, client-centred and family-centred. With over 40 years of service in Halton, we are dedicated to building strong people, strong families and strong communities.
Our mission is to support children between the ages of 6-12 years old who are identified as being at-risk of developing mental health challenges in the future. This goal is met through our various program offerings such as our one-on-one mentoring program, a variety of social skills development groups and our social skills summer day camp programs. The two overall goals through all of our programming are to help build on the children's self-esteem and social skills.
The Learning Disabilities Association Halton's mission is to advocate, support and educate the community about learning disabilities and to enable persons with learning disabilities to reach their full potential.
