@ncscd

The National Capital Sports Council of the Disabled Inc. (NCSCD) is a volunteer body, which was established in 1983, that promotes sporting opportunities for persons who have a visual or hearing impairment or a physical disability in the National Capital Region. The Council provides funding and administrative assistance to various disabled sporting programs. Each year the Council runs special events to raise funds for member clubs. The Council is currently working to develop new sporting activities and athletic training opportunities for children of all-levels coping with a disability. We believe sports are an important factor in encouraging development and personal growth. Our sports provide a safe and fun environment for disabled persons to pursue an active lifestyle. It is our goal to be the collective voice for disabled sports in the Ottawa area.
