The DBS See Different Team is a group that creates educational and interactive opportunities to teach the public about blindness and visual impairments.

This event will celebrate the many talents of our clients and staff here in DBS and bring some holiday joy to those who attend. When you join us you will:

• Get to spend your lunch break listening to and watching some amazingly talented DBS staff and clients,
• Help our judges decide the 3 winners, and
• Experience some holiday cheer!

Also, if you’d like to sign up to be a participant, please send an email to [email protected] no later than Monday, November 23rd. The team will follow up with information on how to join in.

This webinar will celebrate and bring awareness to the symbol of independence that the white cane represents for blind and visually impaired individuals. The event will also educate drivers and pedestrians on the laws designed to protect them and our communities. When you join us you will:

• Hear testimonials from people who are blind or visually impaired and their experiences with driver safety,
• Get to walk alongside the DBS See Different Team as they show us how to use a white cane, dog guide, and technology, to travel independently, and
• Have the opportunity to be a part of a live Question and Answer session where you can ask the team any questions you have about the white cane law, dog guides, accessible technology, and more!

Overview: A non-partisan webinar to reach blind or visually impaired potential voters with available ways to cast a private, independent and verifiable vote. The event will cover avenues those who are blind or visually impaired may employ to cast their vote, a demonstration on the use of accessible voting equipment available at the polls or your local Supervisor of Elections’ office, and upcoming accessible Vote By Mail software.
