The group is part psychoeducation, but mainly sharing and supportive, in a friendly environment. Each month, we address a different topic. Our first meeting in June centred on self care - being able to recognise our unusually high tolerance of adverse events, which can unfortunately lead to overwhelm and even burnout, and the importance of making time for the all-important fun and relaxation. In July's session we will be discussing diagnosis: is it necessary, and who do we tell that we have autistic traits, and what might be the consequences.
