Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM EDT

Informal museum outing for anyone Autistic or Asperger's. 16+ only please.

Join us for a wander around the World Museum in Liverpool. There is plenty of interest, whether you like antiquitiesworld culturesnatural history or astronomy and space.

Meet outside the entrance at 11am. Look out for Liz on her mobility scooter. We will go inside at 11.05am.

If you haven't visited the World Museum since it reopened after lockdown, the display of Chinese ceramics in the World Cultures gallery has been updated and the objects are accompanied by poems and audio visual effects. Also the aquarium now has bigger tanks, immersive projections and new species, including an octopus called Polpo!

We will decide which parts of the museum to visit on the day depending on what people are most interested in. We will restrict ourselves to the free exhibits, unless we want to go to the Planetarium where tickets are £3, or £2 for concessions. We have no set schedule for this visit, other than the start time, so feel free to leave whenever you want.

You can buy lunch in the Cafe, located on the ground floor. Or you can bring your own food and drink to eat in the picnic area on the fourth floor. If you want to go outside to eat or to take a break from the museum, you can sit in the nearby St John's Gardens.

Saturday, August 21 at 11 AM BST

It's fine to go off the discussion topic - the set topic just gives the meeting a bit of direction and allows people to prepare what they want to say.
