We want to ensure that we are always looking to the future and looking at how we can improve and move forward with the Social Model of Disability here in Wales? We’re holding a series of events via Zoom this May and we invite you to join us.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we held events across the country raising awareness of the Social Model of Disability, how it applies in practice and how we can work together to see it implemented more widely here in Wales.
As a symptom and result of the last 12+ month pandemic we have seen the Medical Model being used increasingly more, for example disabled people being referred to as 'vulnerable'.
So, we want to reignite this discussion and give the Social Model its rightful spotlight. But we need your help to make that happen.
Join us to discuss the actions we need to take to move forward in facilitating the implementation of the Social Model of Disability more widely within society in Wales.
