Looking at Autism through a Neuroscience Lens - Sarah Weller

Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 8 AM - 10 AM EDT

Dr Steven Porges thinks that autism is perhaps not a genetically determined neurological condition. He considers it as a response to stress or trauma that happens during a child's early development, and as a result the vagus nerve is stuck in immobilsation.

In this workshop, we will consider the role of the Vagus nerve in the Autistic condition, and look at how the latest research on Brain plasticity can help the Autistic discover their innate capacity for growth.
