Living By Values for Parents of Children with Disabilities

Parents of children with Autism and other disabilities are superheroes! The additional stress parents are faced with requires additional support and strategies to promote wellbeing.

The Behaviour Company uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help parents learn how to live a life that is in line with core values to increase psychological flexibility and happiness.

In this workshop, participants will learn

  1. To identify core values as parents and individuals
  2. How to bring awareness to their thoughts and feelings
  3. To list the actions that are barriers and decreasing psychological flexibility
  4. How to create goals that will help increase happiness

Zainab Fazal is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with over 20 years of experience. She is the Owner and Clinical Director at The Behaviour Company and an adjunct Professor at Seneca College.

Holly Clarke is a Senior Therapist at The Behaviour Company and has over five years of experience working with children with Autism. Holly is pursuing her Master's degree and her Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Certification.
