Interconnected-Mental, Physical and Spiritual health in a disabling society

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 9 AM - 11:30 AM EST

Looking at how people manage their day to day life as disabled people- a session of learning, story telling and sharing our own experiences

About this Event

Online

Disabled people make daily changes in the way they live to fit into a world that is not designed for them and are generally excellent at making those changes. This session looks at how physical and mental impairments often relate to one another and contribute to the other and look at how people manage their day to day life as disabled people. We will also look at how Christians can reflect God’s love for disabled people in their welcome and church life.

This online session will be led by Tim Rourke who is a Church Army evangelist who is a disabled person with personal experience of physical and mental health conditions. He is currently working for Derby Diocese as the Disability Inclusion Project Officer (A one-year project developing a strategy for Disability Inclusion)

It will be a session of learning, story telling and sharing our own experiences. Anyone is welcome to come, learn, share and listen together to hear God’s story in our stories.
