HEARD is hosting monthly education sessions on policing and all forms of incarceration. HEARD will share information about mass incarceration, abolition, disability justice, mutual aid, transformative justice, and more. We hope to increase cross-movement solidarity with this education series.
May 15, 2021 - How do interpreting /access industries contribute to the Prison Industrial Complex (PIC) & Medical Industrial Complex (MIC)? How do these industries lead to more incarceration and longer incarceration of disabled people?

The sessions will last for two hours with breaks and will be in ASL/English.
We will have ASL/English/Spanish interpretation, Deaf Interpreters, and live English captioning.
Each session will have presentation and interactive time.
