Health Disparities among Children with ASD
Children on the autism spectrum experience a range of health disparities, including high rates of obesity and inactivity. Although there is mounting evidence that suggests these disparities begin early in development and continue throughout the lifespan, health is rarely considered as a primary focus when it comes to intervention. This presentation will provide an overview of some of the "key ingredients" to include in interventions to promote positive trajectories of health among children on the autism spectrum.
