This first event has been organised by Leading Disability Rights Organisations in Advance of the UN CRC General Day of Discussion 2021 #HumanRights
It is brought to you by a Coalition of six leading international disability rights organisations: Disability Rights International, European Network for Independent Living, International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, International Disability Alliance, Inclusion International and Validity.
The focus is upon alternative care for children with disabilities - in particular the use of group homes as a form of residential care. The event will present disability rights and disability studies perspectives on this important human rights issue.
