Partnerships in Action Promoting Accessibility

Enable Ottawa is a unique event that brings together the many organizations active in the development of innovative solutions to accessibility and inclusion for persons with varying abilities. It’s about connectivity, forming stronger bonds and having a greater voice. Organizations include non – profits, industry, academic institutions and professional engineering bodies.

Enable Ottawa 2018 is hosted by Carleton University’s Research, Education, Accessibility and Design (READ) initiative, the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) in cooperation with the Tetra Society of North America, March of Dimes Canada DesignAbility Program, and the Neil Squire Society .

Enable Ottawa 2018 will include prestigious keynote speakers, continuous professional development seminars (Design, Entrepreneurship, Biomedical Advances and Law/AODA), Carleton University an Enabling Technology plenary talk on accessibility and inclusion initiatives, an exhibition hall and several networking forums to establish working relationships.

Enable Ottawa 2018 will showcase how engineering advances, industrial design and technology can address and overcome the challenges persons with varying abilities face; a sector where Ottawa is emerging as a leader. All individuals interested in advancing accessibility and inclusion are welcome!
