SUSE is the lead partner in the Disability Employment Gap Public Social Partnership (PSP) which has been commissioned by the Scottish Government.
The Disability Employment Gap PSP is a unique and forward-thinking initiative in the Scottish employability landscape. We aim to contribute to the ambition set by the Scottish Government in The Fairer Scotland for Disabled People – Employment Action Plan, to half the Disability Employment Gap by 2038.
As part of funding made available from the partnership, we are delighted to offer employers a free introductory session to Employer Responsibilities in the Workplace.
This course will be presented by partner organisation Square Peg HR. Working exclusively with the third sector, Square Peg HR helps charities and voluntary organisations with all their people-related activities.
This session will look at:
· Legal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010
· Exploring ways of making ‘reasonable adjustment’ particularly for those in under-represented groups
· Other relevant responsibilities
