Disabled Students College Survival Guide

Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3 PM - 5 PM CDT

In this event series A Place For Us and Invisible Illness Inc. plan to give you a comprehensive survival guide to navigating college with a disability/chronic illness in the U.S. In each part we will be discussing a different aspect of the college experience, starting with accommodations and transitioning from high school through college. The next one, in October, will be about finding a sense of belonging on campus and creating boundaries. The third one, in November, will be on advocacy and the last one, in December, will be on post-graduation opportunities and advice.

This event is open to all! You may sign up and attend one or all four events! If you register for all four events, you will receive a free t-shirt at the end of the survival guide that you can check out below! You could also register for individual parts, which are $5 each. However, we do not want the cost to be an issue for anyone so if you are unable to pay for any or all of the events, please email us at [email protected] or [email protected].
