Presentation: Helping Employees and Their Families Strengthen Their Mental Health
Description: Join us for an exciting August member meeting where Valerie Velde, Shary Kempaninen and Cassandra Gomez from Land O'Lakes will engage us in a discussion of how to leverage HR, people managers and data to support people with disabilities! They will present on what they have learned from conducting an internal Human Resources survey that asked HR staff and business partners about their overall awareness and comfort level in addressing various aspects of the disability needs of their employees. The survey results helped to gage their potential training and resource needs, and their manager level support.
Land O'Lakes will be approaching their 3rd year of having an ERG dedicated to employees with disabilities. In doing so, they will also share how they have opened up mental health support to all employees, as well as to spouses and children.
