Description: This short course serves as an introduction to Disability Theology. If you are a pastor, student, carer or a practitioner wanting to take time to reflect then this course is for you. Together we will examine Christian texts and teachings on disability and discuss the significance of disability theology for the church today. The course will consist of an online training video for each session combined with an hour long live tutorial each Thursday evening in June 2021.

Dr Jill Harshaw, author of God Beyond Words: Christian Theology and the Spiritual Experiences of People with Profound Intellectual Disabilities. Jill is the Executive Director of Tio Associates and an experienced conference speaker and teacher in the field of disability theology. Jill’s passionate interest in intellectual disability and theology has developed over many years and represents an integration of her academic background and her personal experience as the mother of Rebecca, who has profound and complex intellectual disabilities.
