Disability in the workplace (Evening Event)

Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 6 PM - 8 PM GMT

This session will help improve the way you interact with everyone you work with, especially those who might be disabled. By taking part in this session you'll learn about:

  • The social model of disability
  • The legal framework around disability
  • Basic communication skills that will give you confidence when interacting with disabled people in a professional environment

If you believe in creating spaces in which everyone is empowered to thrive you need to join this training.

The main session will also be followed by smaller group discussions with Josh, to allow you to ask questions and have deeper conversation. These will last for 30 minutes and be limited to 12 people. Once you've signed up to the event we'll send you an email to book your slot.

About the trainer

Josh Hepple is a final year PHD student in law and has severe cerebral palsy and a speech impairment. He has delivered training on interacting with disabled customers and colleagues for more than a decade and his clients have included the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the London Film Festival.

About Collaborative Future

Collaborative Future is a social enterprise reimagining the world of work. 100% of our profits are reinvested into our social mission. We charge for our events because we pay all of our speakers for their time and we've found that when we offer an event for free we have a low turn out. However if you cannot afford this fee but still want to attend please email [email protected] who has some free tickets available for low-income individuals.
