Disability in the Workplace: Accommodations & the Interactive Process

The City of Gainesville's Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is offering virtual training for all managers, supervisors, HR professionals, and leadership officials. This virtual training will be a general overview of disability policies and procedures for the workplace titled “Disability in the Workplace: Accommodations and the Interactive Process”. This training will be held on June 18, 2021, at 10:00 A.M.

This one-hour training, via Zoom, is a refresher course about ensuring workplaces are free of disability discrimination. The training objectives are to

• Become familiar with the civil rights laws and policies pertaining to individuals with disabilities and employment;
• Understand your obligations and responsibilities under the disability laws and policies; and
• Learn to recognize reasonable accommodations and how to engage in the interactive process.
