Disability organizations across the state will host candidates for Illinois Attorney General for a non-partisan discussion of state disability issues. The Illinois primary election will be on March 20, so we want disability advocates to know the views of candidates. This event is the second of TWO disability forums; the previous one was for candidates for Governor of Illinois on January 18.
Confirmed candidates: Drury, Fairley, Goldstein, Mariotti, Quinn, Raoul, Rotering, Ruiz.
Invited, pending: Grasso, Harold (alphabetical order)
Emcee: Andres J. Gallegos, Esq., Chair, Access Living Board of Directors
Registration is FREE but you *must* register so we know how many people to expect, and so we can be prepared with disability accommodations as requested. Please note that watch party locations around the state are in process of being scheduled, and that the event will be live streamed on the internet as well.
***Those outside of Chicago, keep an eye out for news of scheduled watch parties around the state.
The event venue is fragrance free and physically accessible. The event will be live streamed with an online CART link. The venue has a hearing loop. An ASL interpreter will be present. We recommend the use of public transit or paratransit as parking is limited. The registration process provides space to note any requests for disability accommodations.
