Free, Full-Day Symposium
Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre
9:00 am to 4:00 pm; Lunch and snacks will be provided
Are you curious about assistive animals, including service animals, guide dogs and emotional support animals? The Yukon Human Rights Commission welcomes you to this free opportunity to learn more about the experience of persons with disability, and how the law about the use of assistive animals applies to your business, organization or government agency.
Come join us to learn about human rights law as it relates to assistive animals in employment, housing, and providing goods and services to the public in Yukon. This free one-day conference will be an opportunity to learn what it’s like to be a person who uses an assistive animal in Yukon, to hear from various stakeholders representing business, government and transit in Whitehorse, and to share your views in a facilitated discussion about practical ways to improve inclusion for all.
If you require any accommodations to support your participation at this free event, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or call 867-667-6226 or drop by our office at 215 - 205 Main Street in Whitehorse (accessible entrance on 3rd Avenue).
