DEA's 6th Deaf Education Summit

June 4, 2021  —  June 6, 2021
Jun 4, 2021 at 7 PM to Jun 6, 2021 at 5 PM EDT

Louisiana Deaf Education Alliance, a project of Deaf Focus, would like to invite families, teachers, school administrators, psychologists, early intervention service specialists, mentors, social workers, audiologists, speech therapists, deaf education professionals, interpreters, and members of the DDBHH community to attend the 6th Deaf Education Summit. We are thrilled to announce our brand-new partnership with the Louisiana Special School District and the Louisiana School for the Deaf! The conference will take place on the Whova platform.

For the last six years, our conference has been the only Deaf Education Summit in Louisiana that provides education and networking specific to the needs of students who are DDBHH; bringing together national and local presenters to share new valuable information with Louisiana stakeholders especially with the support from our new partners, Louisiana Special School District and Louisiana School for the Deaf.  The Alliance was instrumental in the passage of the Deaf Child's Bill of Rights in 2015 and the Louisiana LEAD-K legislation in 2018 as well as contributions to other progressive educational policies and training.
