About this Event

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?

Join us to discuss how to make the holiday season accessible and inclusive for everyone! We'll share some best practices for persons with disabilities and best practices for allies. We'll share some stories (the good and the bad!) from our own lives, and will address different types of celebrations, such as: work holiday celebrations, family holiday celebrations, and celebrations with friends. We also recognize that celebrations this year may be virtual, so we'll address that as well! As always, we'll share tools, resources, and technology. As an attendee of this event, you will be able to participate via the chat box. AI-generated closed captioning will be provided.

WHO ARE WE?

Catarina is a disability stigma smasher and has a hearing/vision disability due to Usher Syndrome. Mariella is an accessibility and inclusion creator. She is hearing impaired and has a cochlear implant.

If you'd like to submit questions or comments ahead of time, you can submit them anonymously at this form.
