In this two-part series, Associate Professor Brian Hoare will firstly provide an overview of overview of the latest evidence for upper limb therapy in children with cerebral palsy. He will provide an overview of the key ingredients across each model of therapy and unpack some of the critical differences between protocols within the same model of therapy.
In the second part of the series, Associate Professor Brian Hoare will present outcomes from an evidence-based, distributed, clinical model of early upper limb intervention for children with unilateral CP. Using case studies, he will highlight key features of this model including the implementation of motor learning and cognitive-based models of practice, coaching and parent support and home programs.
