Athletics, or Track and Field, is a staple sport at any multi-sport competition worldwide. Athletics has been a part of the Canada Summer Games since the second edition in 1973. In 2022, there will be opportunities for para-athletes and Special Olympic athletes to compete as well. Athletics will be held at the new Canada Games Park.
