The Association des arts-thérapeutes du Québec (AATQ) was founded in 1981 to represent the professional practice of art therapy in Québec. The AATQ's members are a diverse group of professionals in art therapy, professionals in the creative arts therapies, students, and allied professionals committed to the development of the field of art therapy and the creative arts therapies in its various forms. Additionally, the AATQ serves the public by establishing and enforcing strict standards of ethics, competence, and practice while expanding the field of art therapy and the creative arts therapies in Québec through education and advocacy.
