Throughout the year we are running fully funded 60 minute “Introduction to Autism in the Workplace” sessions for employers
Why are we doing it?
Just 16% of autistic adults are in full time employment. TRACK is supporting businesses across the SEMLEP region to embrace the talents of a diverse range of individuals. So far we have supported 40 people into paid employment, and over 100 more into access work experience placements.
To help create further opportunities we will be providing a 60-minute training session for organisations, which will help to create opportunities for individuals.
How and What?
The 60-minute training session will outline what autism is, how autistic employees can bring a huge amount of talent to your business and how to support autistic employees. You will be able to take this knowledge back into your organisation and share the information with colleagues, so we can truly be a local area which is talking about – and encouraging – autism in the workplace. We will also cover strategies to ensure you business is aware and accepting of autism. Small environmental changes can make a life changing difference
