Position: Accessibility Compliance Aide

Team: User Experience

Role: As an volunteer accessibility compliance aide for the Paracor Initiative your role is to review our website bi-monthly for accessibility issues. After each review, you are to compile a list of changes that need to be made to make the site more accessible (WCAG 2.0 AA+). The long-term goal is to push this site to WCAG 2.0 AAA rating or as close to it as.

You are also expected to help with:

• Annually renewing our accessibility policy section.
• Training new volunteers in the highest disability training standards possible
• Reviewing our social media presence for accessibility pitfalls and making recommendations

It’s considered an asset if you have experience working on accessibility policies and have experience working with WCAG 2.0.

Training:
As soon as you apply and are accepted for this position we’ll help you get situated in the team and answer any questions you may have regarding your role. We will also educate you in regards to proper communication in the disability area.
